Owner of The Barn and The Bus Bistro in Terrington set to open The Pub in Clenchwarton
A new dog-friendly pub is set to open this weekend - offering entertainment, themed nights and a traditional style.
Jack Green, who owns The Barn and The Bus Bistro in Terrington St John, will be opening ‘The Pub’ at the recently-closed The Nelson premises in Clenchwarton.
The venue, which will open on Friday at 12pm, will be a traditional pub with set nights such as steak and curry evenings, also offering a ‘Fish Friday’ and Sunday lunches.
The Pub has a large beer garden to be enjoyed during the summer months and the venue is dog friendly.
The kitchen opening times will be Tuesday-Fridays from noon-3pm and 4pm-8.30pm, Saturdays from noon-8.30pm, and Sundays between noon and 4pm.
A lunch and evening menu will be available all week and the bar will be open until late.
The Pub will also be hosting evening entertainment, with its first pub quiz on Thursday, May 15.
It will cost £2.50 per person and will welcome teams teams of up to four. Pre-booking is required.
The owners of The Nelson made the “sad decision” not to reopen in January this year.
It closed for good following a week of major electrical issues.
“There are many reasons behind the decision, some of which are the rising costs within this industry and the demands of running two pubs,” the former owners said.
