Leli’s Deli and Gift Shop opening up in Swaffham this weekend
Two friends who met at a craft market 18 months ago are set to open a new shop in town this weekend.
Lesley Dumpleton and Mike Mooney will throw open the doors to Leli’s Deli and Gift Shop in Swaffham tomorrow morning, with their premises located at 21 Plowright Place.
The business will offer a wide range of tasty snacks, with outside vendors being invited to come along as use the shop as a base to sell products.
The same will go for the gift shop - other businesses in the area will be given the chance to have their items sold while being charged for rent and commission.
Lesley, 56, who lives in South Wootton and works for the Lynn-based Forward Day Centre, said she is raring to go ahead of the big opening.
Tomorrow, Greek food and prosecco - as well as non-alcoholic options - will be among the items on the menu.
Mike, 46, who lives in Clenchwarton, added: “I think once the stress levels have died down we will be very excited.
“We are going to have a lot of local businesses in there, and that gives them the chance to put their stuff in a mainstream shop.”
