King’s Lynn Air Training Corps newest cadets enrolled
42F (King’s Lynn) Squadron, Air Training Corps would like to congratulate its newest group of cadets who were enrolled into the organisation on Monday at its Loke Road Headquarters.
The cadets enrolled were: Jasmine Barrs (12), Summer Brydon (13), George Gorringe (15), Joshua Lijesh (15), Tomin Lijesh (13), Shannon Munro (14), Danils Nikolajevs (15) and Tiger-Rivers Webb-Cornell (13).
Their training was organised and led by two senior cadets, Sergeant Bailey Naish and Corporal Loki Wales.
Following 10 weeks of basic training, which included subjects such as drill, map reading, uniform maintenance and service knowledge, the recruits were enrolled in front of their proud parents and fellow cadets in a short service led by the Norfolk and Suffolk Wing ATC Padre, Rev Canon Ron Tuck.
Now that these cadets have been enrolled, the full range of Air Cadet activities have become available to them.
They will be able to sign up to, and take part in, activities such as flying, gliding, shooting, Adventure Training and many more.
The next intake of Air Cadets will be taking place in May 2022.
This will be preceded by a virtual open evening, where those interested in joining, together with their parents, can find out in more detail about the Squadron.
The minimum age for entry is 12 years and in school year 8.
Anyone interested should email 42@rafac.mod.gov.uk for further details of the open evening and to book a space.
