Old mattress among items illegally dumped in North Lynn

An old mattress was among the rubbish cleared by the West Norfolk borough council after being illegally dumped in North Lynn last week.

The rubbish was disposed at Walker Street near to the footbridge over the Bawsey Drain.

A spokeswoman for the borough council said: "It has now been cleared. Once it was reported, we left it in situ with a sign to serve as a warning and to seek any information people may have".

Members of the public should visit the West Norfolk borough council website to report fly-tipping offences.
