Overturned car causes rush hour disruption in King's Lynn




There was rush hour disruption on a major road into Lynn this morning due to an overturned car.

A car overturned on London Road by County Court Road around 7.40am. The road has since been cleared and the driver sustained no injuries.

Cars were diverted through Tennyson Road as a result of the incident with traffic building up on London Road as Highways were called around 8.15am to clear the road.

A spokeswoman for Norfolk Police said: "Officers were called to London Road, King’s Lynn at approximately 7.40am this morning (Thursday, September 10) following reports of an overturned car.

"Highways were called at approximately 8.15am and have since been and taken the vehicle away.

"The road was cleared at roughly 9am."

An eyewitness said: "Car upside down opposite police station outside County Court lane heading out of King's Lynn 7.45am."
