Owner of Dersingham’s Petals Tea Room Richard Cross donates funds to village’s Scout and Guide group




A village business owner wanted to give back to a scout unit he used to be part of as a child and has provided a generous donation.

Richard Cross, owner of Petals Tea Room in Dersingham, donated £100 to the village’s scout and guide group.

The group - which covers, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Rainbows, Brownies and Guides - recently held a bingo evening to raise funds.

Mr Cross presented the £100 to leader and chair of the HQ committee Jane Wood.

He was a scout in Dersingham as a child and wanted to donate to a local charity.

A small group representing all seven of the Dersingham Groups - Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Rainbows, 1st Brownies, 2nd Brownies and Guides - joined Jane for the presentation.
