Owners of Asian restaurant in double decker bus at Stow Bridge have ambitious plans
Owners at an Asian restaurant that serves food from a double-decker bus have announced plans to become a health-based hub.
Liv Pan Asia, located on Woodlakes Park near Stowbridge, is ran by P ANN and her family and opened earlier this year.
She’s been described by her step-son Charlton Wright, the manager of Liv Pan Asia, as “the brains behind the food”.
The base at Woodlakes Park offers seating on the upstairs of its double-decker bus, a cocktail bar which serves drinks and starters and 16 sit-in pods which overlook the lake.
Liv Pan Asia also has two VIP rooms with grand spinning tables which can seat up to 10 people.
“I think you’ve got to try and be different and stand out,” said Charlton.
He added: “We’ve had the opportunity to come down here and try and build a business with a vision.”
Liv Pan Asia serves a variety of Thai and Asian food from curries, soups, noodles and more.
The restaurant had a soft launch opening back in February and has quickly become popular since opening its doors.
The team has ideas to expand their restaurant by adding a number of health drinks to the menu – as well as “detox pods” where people can go on a healthy retreat.
Gluten-free options are also planned to be added to the menu, as well as dishes that have under 500 calories.
Charlton said: “We’re putting a spin on Thai food where it’s a takeaway which is healthy.
“There’s two pods next to the Thai village which will eventually be used as detox pods, we’re trying to build the brand where you go away to a detox pod for a couple of days and actually lose weight as well.
“The food you’re having is good food and you’re getting nutritious food with antioxidants in it.
“We’re building quite a big presence on Facebook and Instagram and we’re starting to get very busy. We got some amazing reviews.
“Things are moving fast, some days we’re at full capacity. There’s a lot of hype and it’s going well.”
