Owners of The Warehouse Taproom Bar and Restaurant in Setchey are awaiting fire damage to be assessed




The owners of a bar and restaurant which was damaged in a fire last night are currently awaiting the damage to be assessed.

The fire broke out at 8.03pm at The Warehouse Taproom Bar and Restaurant in Setchey.

It will be closed for the “foreseeable future” - although it has been confirmed that the adjoining Beers of Europe and The Warehouse Antiques remain open, as they were untouched by the flames.

Crews from Lynn, Terrington and Downham arrived at the scene yesterday evening. They wore breathing apparatus and used main jets and hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

This morning, a statement from staff said: “Thank you for all the kind messages of support left here, sent to our page and to members of the Clark family directly, it means so much to us.

“We don't have much by way of update for you all at the moment as we are await the damage to be assessed. We will update the page as soon as we are in a position to do so.”

Tape has been put up outside the bar and restaurant to prevent people from entering, while a sign has been placed saying “restaurant closed”.
