Penguins enjoy ‘staycation’ at Hunstanton's Sea Life centre
While people around the country have been able to enjoy holidays again following the lifting of lockdown measures in recent weeks, the penguin colony at Hunstanton’s Sea Life centre have been enjoying a staycation of their own.
The Humboldt penguins have been able to soak up the sun while also taking a dip in their private swimming pool.
The Animal Care Team have put parasols in place to help the penguins keep cool in the hot weather.
Team member Cody Townsend said: “When we first put them out all the penguins were curious, Barney was following us around, wondering what was going on and being nosey.
"Once the parasols were up the penguins were all using them straight
away.
"Most of the time you can see Ellie and Beau under the shade, they both love them!"
