Harrington's Performing Arts puts on Christmas showcase in Downham Market – with £310 raised for Rudham Ward at King’s Lynn hospital
A newly-opened dance school put on a superb performance – and had a visit from someone special afterwards.
Harrington’s Performing Arts, which started up in October, put on its first show on Saturday at the Jubilee Community Centre in Downham, with more than 25 children aged from three to 14 taking part.
At the end of the show, the children had a surprise visit from Father Christmas.
Rebecca Harrington, owner of Harrington’s Performing Arts, said she is very proud of the children.
She said: “The show went really well – the children all did well and I think the parents are all pleased too.”
As well as the performance, Harrington’s has been raising money for a children’s ward at Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital by selling raffle tickets.
A total of £310 was raised and will be going to the Rudham Ward at the QEH.
They will be buying items off the Rudham Ward’s Amazon wishlist, including toys that are needed for the ward.
Rebecca said: “I would like to say a big thank you to the businesses from Lynn and Downham who donated prizes to the charity raffle.”
The performing arts school has classes for children between three and 18 for both girls and boys and offers a free trial. For more information visit hperformingarts.co.uk/contact-us
