Police advise West Norfolk drivers to be careful after car skids into river

A driver slid off the road into the River Nene at Outwell this afternoon.

King's Lynn Police posted a picture of the unfortunate driver's car in the river on social media earlier today.

It advised people to drive carefully in the wet conditions with further rain forecasted this week.

The post said: "Please drive to the weather and road conditions accordingly.

"This driver has had a lucky escape in Outwell today."
