Get ready to get your tickets for spectacular tulips event this month at fields near the Sandringham Estate

A ‘best ever’ display is promised for this year’s popular Tulips for Tapping event which last year sold out within minutes and attracted more than 25,000 visitors from near and far.

Event details have been released with tickets going on sale at 10am on Monday, April 14 ahead of the opening to the public of 32 acres of West Norfolk tulip fields with a stunning sight of more than nine million colourful blooms.

The event is a major fundraiser for The Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House and last year, raised a record £322,294.

The event will open on Thursday, April 24 and is a rare chance to walk through a kaleidoscope of colour in working tulip fields and offers spectacular photo opportunities.

This year is even more important for Tapping House at it celebrates its 40th anniversary.

As such, the team at Norfolk Tulips will deliver a best ever display for visitors to enjoy and raise money to fund the free care provided by the hospice for those with a life-limiting illness and also support for their loved ones.

The tulip fields are located just off the A148, close to the Sandringham Estate but the exact location is never revealed until tickets are purchased.

Tickets will be assigned in 45-minute slots with first entry at 10am and last entry at 3.30pm. This year there are three late evenings with last entry at 7pm (Friday, April 25, Thursday, May 1 and Friday, May 2).

The fields will be closed on Tuesday, April 29 and Wednesday, April 30. The last chance to visit will be on Monday, May 5.

Adult admission will cost £10, children (aged five 5 to 16) £5 and free admission for under fives. Parking will cost £2 per car.

Nicola Ellis, Tapping House chief executive, said: “We are delighted to open the tulip fields for another incredible event.

“Each year we’re overwhelmed by the generosity of the visitors who come from near and far to see the splendid sight of the tulips in full bloom.

“We couldn’t be more grateful to Mark, Susanne and the Ward family for putting the event on and to our army of volunteers who are currently preparing to make this event happen.

“2025 is a special year for Tapping House as we are celebrating 40 years of compassionate care in our local community. We are an independent charity providing free rest-of-life care to people in West Norfolk and North Cambridgeshire.

“We are reliant on the income that events such as this help to generate towards the £4.3million needed to keep our services running this year. We look forward to another very special event and to seeing our community on the field.

“I would especially like to thank the team at Norfolk Tulips as well as Michael Rae and Roydon Hall Farms for making this event happen once again in 2025. And we are absolutely thrilled to be partnering with Persimmon Homes as our headline sponsor.”
