King’s Lynn Festival Too sees record numbers as second weekend of live music takes place featuring headliners Neville Staple and Example
The second weekend of live Festival Too music saw thousands flock to Lynn’s Tuesday Market Place on Friday and Saturday night.
Friday’s headliner was former Specials and Fun Boy Three star Neville Staple and his band, supported by Soft Tone Needles, Lindy Layton and We May Be Vampires.
Despite a damp evening, fans got to hear hits such as Message to you Rudi, Gangsters and Really Saying Something.
With the weather staying fine on Saturday, a record-number of visitors descended on the Tuesday Market Place.
Performers Ear Candy, D:Ream and Liberty X supported headliner Example, the singer and rapper whose real name is Elliot John Gleave.
Highlights of the night’s set saw young DJ L.I.A.M hit the decks as the Watlington teenager performed to the crowd.
Liam Osler, 14, has had access to a set of DJ decks since the age of five and has always had an interest in dance music.
Chris Osler, Liam’s dad said: “Liam has shown a great deal of passion for what he does and it has been recognised in the form of achievements such as the National Young Inspirational DJ of the Year Award 2020.”
Liam has a dance music show on Fenland Youth Radio every Thursday night and a new show called Saturday Studio Live, where he interviews listeners.
The finale for Festival Too is this weekend with The Routine, Slender Pins and headliner From The Jam.
Closing the festival on Saturday is Newton Faulkner, The Extons, Domape, The Walkman and headliner Feeder.
