Hunstanton RNLI in action
Hunstanton lifeboat crews were launched twice to reports of people in trouble this weekend.
On Saturday, the coastguard requested a launch to reports of 16 people cut off by rising tide on a sandbank off Hunstanton.
Hunstanton lifeboat Spirit of West Norfolk proceeded to the area, and on arrival several people were either wading or swimming back to the shore. Four people remained on the bank which was rapidly being flooded by the incoming tide.
They were taken aboard the lifeboat and landed on to beach into the care of the local coastguard response team.
On Sunday, the coastguard requested a launch of the Hovercraft to a report of two people cut off on Scolt Head Island.
As the hovercraft proceeded to Brancaster they were stood down as they had made it back to the mainland.
