King's Lynn's A148 Gaywood Road and Lynn Road closed after serious crash outside KES Academy

Emergency services are on the scene of a serious crash thought to have involved a pedestrian on a road close to a Lynn school this morning.
Police have cordoned off the A148 Gaywood Road/Lynn Road outside of King Edward VII (KES) Academy following the accident involving a female pedestrian at about 8.30am.
A Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 8.15am to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian on Gaywood Road, at the junction with Tennyson Avenue.The female pedestrian has been taken to hospital with a head injury.The road has been closed whilst officers deal with the incident."
The road is currently still closed.
KES have tweeted that they cancelling a transition event scheduled for tonight.
