Road to be closed for weeks as part of West Norfolk village works
Work will take place for more than a month in a West Norfolk village, which will result in a road closure.
The county council has issued a public notice stating road drainage improvement works will take place on Hill Road, Ingoldisthorpe, from Monday, October 26.
During the works, which are expected to take eight weeks to complete, a road closure will be required on Hill Road from its junction with Smithy Road.
Access to properties within the limits of the closure will be maintained whenever possible and a fully signed diversion route will be in place during the works.
The public notice states: "The road closure is essential to ensure the works are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
"We are grateful for people’s patience while this road drainage improvement work takes place. If access for emergency services is required, the site staff will ensure access past the works."
The works include replacing broken surface water gullies with new chambers and gullies being installed on Hill Road.
The work will cost £95,000 and will be carried out by the county council's Community and Environmental Services Department and contractors.
