Enthusiastic youngsters rolled up their sleeves as part of a project to put more greenery into their town.
Scouts, Beavers, police cadets and army cadets from Swaffham congregated at land off Orford Road last weekend to plant a wide variety of saplings.
A total of 315 young trees were put in place after being handed over by the Woodland Trust, with pupils from Heartwood CE VC Primary School also helping out.

The project came about after Swaffham councillors suggested they would like to see more green spaces created around the town, contrasting nicely with the busy market areas.
Phoebe Harrison, community engagement officer at Swaffham Town Council, said the youngsters were happy to roll up their sleeves and “muck in” to plant the saplings.
“They genuinely were such a great bunch of kids,” she said.
