Dersingham scouts and guides celebrate Platinum Jubilee

Many sections of the Girl Guides and Scouting organisations got together for a special Platinum Jubilee afternoon on Thursday.

Guides, Scouts, Rangers, Cubs, Squirrels, Brownies, Beavers and Rainbows all celebrated the special occasion with leaders of the organisations and volunteers making it a day to remember.

Rainbows and Brownies leader Lynn Wheeler said: "It all went very well and was very successful.

"All leaders were involved with the organising and 60-70 members attended. It was a lovely afternoon of games, crafts and a picnic. We were able to spend it outside and we finished with a sing-song and some cake that was in the shape of the number 70."

The competition to design a special Dersingham Platinum Jubilee badge was won by Brownie Alexa Tuddenham.
