Terrington St John Scouts raise third towards Jamboree trip

Sisters Sorcha and Caoimhe Friel, from Terrington St John, have been fundraising for an overseas Scouting trip to South Korea.

Their coffee morning on Saturday has proved a success in raising half the amount they need for the trip.

The girls' mum Victoria said: "Thank you so much to everyone who came and supported our coffee morning today.

"Along with a huge donation from the 3rd Marshland Scout, our home, and other truly awesome donations, plus cakes and delicious coffee, we raised a whopping £1,993.97.

"We are so grateful and overwhelmed, the girls still need to raise a further £5,796 between them."

They are planning a second event, to raise further funds in their hopes to attend the World Scout Jamboree, next summer with an Easter egg hunt and party at Tilney St Lawrence Church on Saturday, April 16 at 10.30am.
