Bomb squad called after suspected ordnance found on Holme-next-the-Sea beach




A suspected bomb was found on a West Norfolk beach at the weekend.

Coastguard crews were called to Holme-next-the-Sea beach on Saturday at around 12pm.

The objects, which were suspected to be ordnance, were discovered at Holme Dunes National Nature Reserve.

Coastguard rescue teams from Hunstanton and Sheringham were called and set up a safety cordon.

A Coastguard spokesman said: “An Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team attended the scene and detonated the items.”
