The Globe in King's Lynn is having an external makeover
The Globe hotel on the corner of King Street and Tuesday Market place in Lynn is having a makeover.
Wetherspoon is spending around £700,000 to install a new roof across all of the buildings.
There will also be a full external redecoration of the property.
Thought to have been built as a prominently sited town house or merchants house built in the early 18th century, later turned in to a public house and hotel, it occupies a corner plot facing onto King Street, close to the spacious and commercially important Tuesday Market Place.
The building work being carried out should be completed by mid-November.
Eddie Gershon, spokesman from Wetherspoon said: “The work being carried out at The Globe Hotel highlights our commitment to ensuring the pub is maintained to the highest standards at all times.”
The pub remains open while the work is being carried out.
