The 'make Putin sweat' planes that landed at RAF Marham were a 'planned delivery'
Supersonic fighter jets landed at RAF Marham last week amid Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
The planes reportedly will "make Putin sweat" and have been dubbed "beast mode" -with a top speed of 1,200mph, they can reach heights of 50,000ft.
They are the first of their kind to evade radar stealth technology due to their supersonic speeds, and can also carry the GAU-22A 25mm cannon in a pod above their port engines.
The F-35B lightning fighter jets cost an eye watering £100million each and are capable of conducting air-to-surface, electronic warfare, intelligence gathering and air-to-air missions simultaneously.
The aircrafts carry 22,000lbs of firepower including eight Paveway laser-guided bombs and infrared homing missiles designed to outrun any other airborne bomb.
It has not been confirmed whether the planes will be used against Russia or involved in the fight against Ukraine, as their arrival has been "a planned" delivery.
More are expected to arrive in the coming years from Texas, where they are made.
A spokesperson from RAF Marham said:"We had a further three F-35B Lightning aircraft arrive at RAF Marham last week as part of the planned delivery programme.
"The aircraft are built in the Lockheed Martin factory in the USA and were flown over to the UK by three of our pilots."
