The Victoria stands at the gateway to Holkham Estate
Located near the county's windswept coastline, seaside town and villages, Holkham Hall is home to the Earl of Leicester.
Standing at the gateway to the Holkham Estate is The Victoria, open all year round, named after the monarch by Thomas William Coke after the young queen elevated him to peerage in 1837.
The site offers restaurant and hotel facilities with 20 individually designed bedrooms.
The venue has a mix of contemporary and antique, with an airy conservatory- style dining room and a cosy ambience.
The juxtaposition of a classic food menu with modern twists plus excellent service, provides an atmosphere to suit all needs, with young children and well behaved dogs welcome.
The Victoria's lunch menu includes a plats du jour from Monday through to Sunday, with meals using the locality's produce such as Holkham venison curry and traditional roasted beef.
Snacks and starters are flavoursome, with choices such as pickled cockles with bread and butter and sauteed lambs kidneys.
Head chef Michael Chamberlain said: "Whenever possible we use ingredients grown and raised on the estate, game from the shoot, beef from the marshes, venison from the park, vegetables from the walled garden, lamb and potatoes from the farm."
Modern tastes are catered for, with a range of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options like spinach, ricotta and pepper strudel and a Bhudda bowl.
A variety of drinks are on offer with non-alcoholic mocktails or spicy botanical gin.
Blue cheese ice cream and Lord Leicester's smelly French cheeses are a good dessert choice for cheese lovers.
Views from the restaurant are spectacular and Joanne Carter from Bristol, staying in Briston and visiting Holkham for the first time said: "It is dog friendly which was a massive positive for us.
The menu is varied and delicious."
