A stage school who hold dance, drama, acting and singing classes in Lynn has seen seven of their students take part in a performance in the capital at the Scoop at London Bridge.

On Saturday, June 18, students from Theatretrain, who teach students in sessions at Springwood High, took part in a special event in London.

The lucky seven's performance was part of the Summer by the River programme at the South Bank venue and helped celebrate the company’s 30th birthday.

Each student also helped make up a 150 strong choir of children aged between 11 and 18 who sang hits such as Blinded by your Grace originally by Stormzy and Katrina and the Waves hit song Walking on Sunshine.

Two students Lacey Anthony and Arabella Bishop also had the honour of performing solos at the exciting event after successfully auditioning for the part.

Centre director Kate Whyborn said: "It was such a special event, as at Theatretrain we specialise in these large scale events and after not being able to give our students these wonderful opportunities for more than two years it was really moving to see them perform with so much energy and passion, they really wowed the audience with a standing ovation, we are all really proud of them."
