Three dead after fatal three-car collision on A47 Constitution Hill near King's Lynn - with man arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving
Three people died in a two-vehicle collision on the A47 last night.
Norfolk Police were among the emergency services called to the A47 Constitution Hill in North Runcton - about a quarter of a mile from the Hardwick Roundabout - shortly after 7.30pm yesterday (Sunday).
And officers are now appealing for witnesses to the incident, which was between a white Vauxhall Mokka and black BMW X5.
The three occupants of the Vauxhall vehicle - two aged in their 40s and one in their 20s - were pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving in connection with the incident, and is being questioned at Lynn Police Investigation Centre.
Road closures were in place on the A47 at North Runcton until this afternoon (Monday). These have now been lifted now and the road is open.
Reports originally suggested the incident had involved three cars, but police have now confirmed it was two.
Police have asked anyone who witnessed the manner of driving of either vehicle prior to the collision, or who witnessed the collision itself, to contact them on 101 and quote reference 36/3637/23.
