Three teenage girls had to be rescued by lifeboat crews as they drifted out to sea off the West Norfolk coast yesterday afternoon.
Coastguard officials were alerted to the group, who were using a kayak and inflatable ring off Brancaster at around 1.40pm on Friday.
A Lifeboat spokesman said the girls, who were unhurt, stated they were trying to get back to shore but were being carried further out to sea when the crew reached them.
