TikTok star Jo Rand visits Pippa’s Pantry in Sutton Bridge and rates cheese straws ten out of ten
A TikTok influencer with more than one million followers paid a visit to a popular village café to rate its tasty treats.
Jo Rand who uses TikTok handle jos_unfiltered_life popped into Pippa’s Pantry in Sutton Bridge on Thursday and tried two items.
Jo, who is best known for posting short videos about motherhood, recipes, product reviews and lifestyle - tried a cheese straw and a piece of Reece’s Pieces brownie.
She said: “Mum kept telling me to go try somewhere called Pippa’s Pantry. So I’m going to go try it. Well it looks quite cute doesn’t it.”
She purchased the items at the counter before taking them back to her car to review.
Jo was delighted at the size of the cheese straw, taste and texture.
In her video she said: “Look at how flaky that is on the inside. Look at those flaky layers. Texture - ten out of ten.
“What do you mean that’s a cheese straw babe - that’s a baton - that’s a baguette.
“Cheesiness - seven - you can up the cheese. Up the cheese!”
She then went on to try the Reece’s Pieces brownie.
Jo said: “The brownie is the perfect, not overly sweet gooey claggy brownie, I like it when it sticks to the roof of my mouth.
“It’s got whole Recce’s cups in there plus peanuts, I love the crunch of a peanut - did I mention I like Crunchie?”
She went on to praise the staff at the popular pantry which is due to be taken over by owner Pippa Burrows’ daughter Molly Gale, aged 17.
Jo said: “Whatever employee made this in Pippa’s Pantry - raise - immediate raise - employee of the month on the wall.”
Pippa was delighted to know the TikTok star had given the pantry a visit.
She said: “Best I up that cheese - it is going to be the cheesiest around, trust me.”
Pippa opened the pantry five years ago and she made the emotional decision this year to sell the ‘goldmine’ and retire.
Her daughter Molly will take over the reins in the near future.
