Tom Hardy orders pizzas in Norfolk: 'It took a couple of minutes to realise who he was'

There was a surprise customer for a Norfolk business in the form of a globally renowned Hollywood actor.

Tom Hardy, who has appeared in blockbuster films such as Inception, The Dark Knight Rises and Star Trek, ordered pizzas from the Wood Fired Food company in Burnham Deepdale last week.

Jon Hemming, owner of the business, said the staff initially did not recognise the famous actor, who has also appeared in the popular television series Peaky Blinders.

Mr Hemming said: "He came to order pizzas and was asking about places to go in the area. He was very friendly and because he was in a hat and sunglasses it took a couple of minutes for us to realise who he was.

"He was happy for us to take the photo but asked us not to post it on social media for a week, which we respected.

"We hope he enjoyed our wood fired sourdough pizzas and his time in Norfolk. We’d love to serve him again if he was to visit the area in the future!"
