Trains delayed between King's Lynn and Ely due to swans on line




Swans caused disruption on the railway yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, June 11) at Downham Market.

Great Northern Trains received a report of animals on the line between Downham and Watlington shortly after 3.30pm.

Trains services running between King's Lynn and Ely were delayed because of the disruption which was caused by swans.

A spokesman for Govia Thameslink Railway said the line was clear by 4pm.

He said: "We received a report of swans on the line between Downham Market and Watlington just after 15.30 today. The line was clear by about 16.00."
