Two men arrested on suspicion of poisoning in Weeting after man dies
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of poisoning after one man suddenly died and another was taken to hospital.
Officers were called by the ambulance service at 10.30pm on Sunday, March 3 to reports that two men in their 50s were seriously unwell at a property on Hereward Way in Weeting.
Emergency services attended and one man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained and a Home Office post-mortem examination will be carried out in the coming days.
The second man was taken to West Suffolk Hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged.
Further enquiries led officers to arrest two men on suspicion of poisoning yesterday (Tuesday).
A man in his 40s was arrested in Thetford and taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
A man in his 50s was arrested in Weeting and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
Both men have been released on bail pending further investigations.
