Virtual Beauty Week will champion local businesses

Discover King's Lynn are taking their annual Beauty Week online this year with the help of the town's hairdressers, beauty salons, make-up artists and barbers.

Previous year's events have involved store activities including samples, consultations and demonstrations by local businesses, but due to the pandemic it wasn't possible for 2021.

Ilaria Pezzella, project assistant, said: "Unfortunately, we couldn't run the event as normal this year so we decided to take it virtual!

"We saw it as an opportunity to celebrate the fabulous hair and beauty scene we have in King's Lynn Town Centre and remind consumers of the great local services and products they can look forward to come reopening."

Discover King's Lynn, the town's Business Improvement District, will be bringing a huge selection of free content for beauty fans via their social media channels this week.

No.4 have provided nail art inspiration pictures and videos, plus a make-up tutorial from their in-house make-up artist.

There will be a virtual tour of the new No7 counter remodel from staff at Boots, plus information on their new Radiance range and online consultation service.

Ilaria added: "The Rejuvenation Room has also given us a virtual tour of its beautiful new clinic, and talks through some of the treatments it will be offering upon reopening.

"We also received some handy hints and tips on eyelash extensions from Vitalija Lash Artist, and some great product information on all your spring essentials from The Body Shop."

The event, which is running from March 22-28, will showcase brands and services available in the town ahead of the easing of lockdown restrictions next month.
