West Norfolk Council launches study of litter and dog mess issues
Council chiefs have launched a new survey which aims to identify where the worst spots in West Norfolk are for littering and dog fouling.
Residents, schools, companies and parish councils are being invited to take part in the study, which will remain open until the end of July.
Officials say the scheme will help them to work out the full extent of the issues and where any particular trouble spots may be.
Ian Devereux, the authority's cabinet member for environment, said: "We get a lot of anecdotal information about dog fouling and littering, so we are hoping that by asking specific questions about locations and times of offences we can start to identify where resources need to be targeted and also what local people can do to help.
"The more surveys that are completed, the better the picture we will get, so I would urge everyone to fill in the form, tell us what's happening in their area, and provide specific locations where possible."
Once the survey is completed, a report on its findings will be prepared for consideration by a council committee.
