Bawsey park King's Lynn raises money for Hillington Tapping House Norfolk Hospice with dog walk
Bawsey Estate & Country Park took the charity lead when raising money for the Norfolk Hospice Tapping House on Sunday with a dog walk.
All day members of the public were invited to bring their pooches and make a donation if they wished.
Bawsey business development manager Richard Wilkins wants to make events like these a monthly affair if possible, and said: "There was no registration fee, no set route or time and no mass start. There was free parking.
"I hope we've raised a lot of money for Tapping House.
"There were a lot of people and there was a really good feel and vibe. It was really good fun.
"We're happy to speak to anyone else interested in organising another event."
He added: "We held a similar event last autumn, raising money for the East Anglian Air Ambulance."
He said it was vital to ensure the causes these events support are local: "I think it is important to keep them local because it brings people in.
"We couldn't have asked for better weather."
The bucket collection is due to be counted at the end of this week so that Tapping House can obtain a final fundraising figure.
