Woman injured at Ashwicken after crash with police car




A woman was injured after a police car was in collision with her vehicle at Ashwicken yesterday.

The accident happened on the B1145 at about 12.20pm closed to the East Winch Road.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team are carrying out enquiries following the collision between a marked police Ford Focus and a Nissan Micra, driven by the woman.

The driver of the Nissan Micra, a woman in her 70s from the local area, was taken for treatment to Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital after sustaining, what appeared to be, injuries to her wrist and ankle.

The road was closed for a while and diversions put in place while initial accident scene investigations were carried out by police officers.
