Stock car season set to burst into life at King's Lynn
The 2023 stock car season bursts into life at Lynn tomorrow (5pm) where a triple bill of full contact formulas will be in action.
Taking to the track will be the BriSCA F2 stock cars, 2L stock cars and the 1300 stock cars.
A big entry of cars is booked for action, including drivers travelling from all over the UK together with several drivers making the trip over from mainland Europe.
Many of West Norfolk’s top drivers will be in action at the Adrian Flux Arena.
Marcus Gilbert had his best-ever season in the F2 stock cars in 2022 and he will be looking to build on that this campaign.
Gilbert also had an outing in the F1 stock cars where he was on great form.
Running mate Harry Hensby will also be in action together with Ben Cole and Sam Russell.
Russell is making his debut in the competitive world of BriSCA F2 and everyone at Trackstar wishes him the very best of luck.
Jake Banwell will be looking to continue the tremendous form which took him to victory in the National Championship in Ireland in 2022.
The World Final takes place at Lynn this season which will give Banwell a great chance of taking the title.
With the top Trackstar points scorer come August being guaranteed a place on one of the front two rows in the World Final, he will be keen for a great start this weekend to help to propel him up the points standings.
The 1300 stock car entry also includes Daniel Bitson, who enjoyed a great year in both the 1500cc bangers and 1300 stock cars in 2022.
With the White & Yellow Final taking place for the 1300 stock cars on Saturday and Bitson starting the big race on the fourth row he will be confident of a decent result.
Completing the action are the 2L stock cars who are racing for the Charlene Kingston Memorial.
Keegan Sampson and Austen Freestone will both be in attendance and looking to continue the great form they showed in 2022 in what promises to be an action-packed evening.
