Aaron secures fourth place in final

Karting ace Aaron Alexander set a new personal best lap at Stretton kart track on his way to a fourth-place finish in the final.

After qualifying in second spot, the South Wootton youngster, 13, had to settle for fifth place in his opening outing on an extremely tight circuit.

A gear ratio change helped him to battle through heat two and three, finishing third in the the latter race, to line up fifth on the grid for the grand final.

The fast 12-lap final saw the leading pack nose-to-tail from start to finish and the KES Academy pupil eventually crossed the line in fourth spot.

Alexander and the team would like to thank A10 Auto Centre for their help facilitating the transport to the meeting and team member Chris Levy helped the youngster for the day while his parents were abroad.

Heading into the next round in July, Alexander finds himself second overall in the Championship, eight points behind the leader.

Alexander thanked both Chris Levy and the A10 Auto Centre for their help and support.
