King’s Lynn cycle ace enjoys cruiser clean sweep East Anglia summer series at Ipswich

The 2025 BMX season got underway for the Hill family with the first round of the East Anglia summer series held in Ipswich on Sunday.

Alan raced 45+ men cruiser and Superclass. With semi-finals in both classes, a quick turnaround and a real test of fitness for the 53-year-old.

He kept a clean sweep on the cruiser and took the win in the final.

In the Superclass, he held his own against some much younger riders, making it through the semi for a place in the final where he finished eighth.

Son Jared also picked up where he ended last season with a clean sweep.

In the final, it was close at the start, but he pulled away by the 1st corner and smoothed his way through the track to take his first Superclass win of the series.

The Hills will travel to Manchester next month as the national series gets underway.
