Lynn cyclists take to the roads for Dunwich Dynamo




Eighteen riders of all ages and abilities took to the roads for the Dunwich Dynamo at the weekend.

Held annually for the last 26 years, the 112-mile event takes places through the night.

This is an unofficial ride, which had free entry and no support, started from London fields park in London.

Riders started their journey, usually between 7-830pm, and many places offered food and drink stations.

All money raised went to charity.

All 18 riders completed the distance comfortably and arrived on the Beach at Dunwich between 4.40 and 6am, hoping to watch the sun rise, but sadly it was grey and windy.

Seven club riders went on to complete the return ride back to Lynn, a total of 190 miles, and four managed to complete it.

Competing in the Dunwich Dynamo were: Phillip Seaman, Kersten Muller, Simon Hardy, Pauline Sparrow, Trevor Marshall, Bridget Tomlinson, Mark Bobby Sands, Nicky Brown, Ali Borrman, Gary Bowles, Kay Burgess,Heather Rugg, Ivan Wolfe, Ben Keeley, Martin Foreman, Roy Aspinal, Richard Wilkins (SWNC) and Guinness World Record holder Robbie Ferri.

On the same Sunday, Sarah Comer rode the London Prudential 100 Mile sportive.
