King’s Lynn youngster sees off Fenland opponent at Chatteris




King's Lynn Youth Boxing had Maximus Emmerson in action at the weekend.

Emmerson stepped into the ring to face Harry Kerr from Fenland Sparta at Chatteris.

The Lynn fighter was supported by his coaches Mel Payne, Richard Girdlestone and Ryan Finch.

Both boys came out and traded some strong blows, making for a close opening round.

In the second round, Emmerson started a bit faster and landed better shots on target as both fighters exchanged punches.

In the final round, Emmerson pushed his opponent back to the ropes with some good shots to the head and body.

His determination over the three rounds resulted in a unanimous win for the Lynn fighter.

It was an excellent display from Emmerson who continues to impress in the ring.
