G whiz, Heacham Football Club secure three-year sponsorship deal with King's Lynn company

Champions-elect Heacham FC have clinched a three-year sponsorship deal with town sportswear provider Double G Clothing.

The Anglian Combination Premier Division leaders, who are set to make the step up to the Thurlow Nunn League next season, have a long-standing relationship with the Horsley Fields-based company as the two parties continue their winning partnership.

Players from the various Heacham sides will be resplendent in new kits provided by Double G, who have been providing West Norfolk businesses and UK wide with a range of services including embroidery, printing and engraving, for almost three decades.

Heacham boss David Griggs said: "It's a great deal for the club and we're delighted that Double G are back on board for another three years.

"Most of the teams at our level and below are crying out for sponsorship but Double G have been great to us over the years and it's a big boost as we look to make the step up to the next level.

"Before Double G came on board, I would spend at least a month or more trying to find sponsorship, so it's one less headache for me and huge for us as a club.

"Gordon (Chilvers) comes to many of our games, including a lot of away matches, and he genuinely cares about our football club."

Heacham's new deal will begin at the start of next season and will continue until the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

Gordon Chilvers, who runs Double G in partnership with Graham Bennett, said: "It gives us great pleasure to renew our sponsorship of Heacham for another three years.

"The first sponsorship saw the club continue their way through the various Anglian Combination divisions to now be top of the pile and unbeaten in the league this season.

"It is an amazingly friendly club with a great bunch of management, coaches and players.

"Backing that up is a great team of volunteers who do a fantastic job behind the scenes, so we are absolutely delighted to be part of the clubs journey for the next three years."

The unbeaten Magpies can move a step closer to title glory when they host Waveney at Station Road on Saturday (2.30pm).

Heacham need three wins from their final nine games to clinch a seventh successive promotion.
