Hills make their mark in Manchester at final round of Racing Under the Roof Series

The Hill family recently travelled to Manchester for the final round of the Racing Under the Roof Series - a series held at the National Cycling Centre over five months.

Alan faced some younger competition in the Masters category but held his own over the day.

The Masters final was one of the most exciting finals of the day with Alan and Ben, from Birmingham, making moving and swapping positions but Ben took the win in the end.

Kyle, racing in the Supercruiser 15+ struggled to get going but found another gear in the third moto, taking a win to guarantee a place in the semi-final.

He fought hard in the semi but missed out on the final with a sixth, still a good effort from Kyle.

Jared, looking like an Elite athlete in his Great Britain kit, stepped up once again in Superclass.

Following an intense training camp on the Saturday, Jared got off to a flying start with a moto win and a fastest lap time.

He followed this up with a third and a second to book himself a spot in the Superclass final.

Making a brave call, he chose an inside gate alongside faster, older riders but this didn’t deter him.

Getting a bit of a bump down the hill pushed him back to sixth but he battled his way round the track and just missed out on a place on the podium with a fourth - his best result of the series.

He did, however, get himself on the podium with a third overall finish for the series.

Dad Alan took the top step, winning the Masters overall.

The Hill’s will return to race in Manchester in April for the start of the National series.
