King's Lynn karting ace becomes British champion in the Pro-Kart Endurance Championships

West Norfolk has a new British champion on its hands in the shape of karting ace Aaron Alexander.

Victory in the final round in the Pro Class of the British Pro-Kart Endurance Championships with Full Send Racing (FSR) team mate Kieran Lambert sealed the deal for the young teenage pairing at Sunderland.

Their latest success came on the back of claiming the Junior BPEC title back in 2020.

The FSR team completed all ten rounds over the course of the season and, despite suffering mechanical gremlins in their opening two outings, the ambitious team continued knowing the rules stated that they would be able to drop their worst two rounds at the end of the season.

The FSR team went into the final round knowing that victory would clinch the overall championship.

They worked very hard on the HAASE racing kart in Saturday’s testing to find the perfect set-up for the circuit and cold weather conditions ahead of Sunday’s big race final.

Early Sunday morning saw Alexander go out for qualifying along with 43 other race karts. He managed to get pole position in class and fifth overall against some of the best Pro Kart drivers in Europe.

Alexander started the six-hour race, completing the first race until coming in for a pit stop for fuel.

The pairing swapped places over the four pit stops and after completing 372 laps of the north east circuit the team managed to cross the line for the chequered flag, finishing first in class.

The team finished the season with 481 points, ahead of the teams in second and third with 475 and 467 points respectively.

Alexander would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who has made this race season possible.

These include his family members, sponsors MKM and Howdens, from Lynn, LA Custom Coatings, at Dereham, Magnum Motorhomes, in Grimsby, and all of his WheelieBinClean.co.uk customers.
