King's Lynn company sponsor thriving community football scheme for three years

Double G Clothing have made their third signing of the season by supporting local charity King’s Lynn Community Football (KLCF).

The sponsorship deal will see KLCF Elite and Development squads, along with their ability counts and walking football groups sporting playing kits from the Lynn-based company who have been supporting the West Norfolk community for 26 years.

Double G Clothing will also supply the local community football programme with training equipment and software for some of the latest technology in sports videography.

King’s Lynn Community Football currently has more than 250 representatives that play within its football development programme.

The youth section runs teams from under-7 to under-16s, after which players progress into senior football with many local Thurlow Nunn football clubs and The College of West Anglia’s football programme.

The programme has proved extremely successful in encouraging and increasing participation in the sport.

A measure of this success is seeing many of KLCF players fill the ranks of the local football clubs.

The programme also has players trailing and moving on to professional football clubs such as Peterborough United.

In addition to kit and equipment, thanks to the support of Double G Clothing, KLCF players will be able to watch recordings of games through the newly-purchased Veo cameras.

They are the first club in the area to have such quality equipment.

Veo cameras have the latest AI technology (Artificial Intelligence) which automatically tracks the ball and players without a cameraman enabling the coaches and players to view the footage in multiple ways, including the ability of players to follow them for the full duration of the game.

Dan Buhlemann, from KLCF, said: “The cameras have been in action and will be a great addition to the scheme.

“The equipment will really support our professional approach to player development and this along with all players wearing the same Double G Clothing uniforms will be a positive move for everyone involved.”

Gordon Chilvers, from Double G Clothing, said “We are delighted to have negotiated a three-year sponsorship agreement with King’s Lynn Community Football.

"We look forward to seeing all of the players and squads develop further under the guidance of Dan Buhlemann and his team.

“With KLCF committing to the Veo cameras and technology it can only be a positive addition to the coaching and guidance offered by this very well established and respected community football programme.”
