Lynn's great Dane will miss next two meetings
Niels-Kristian Iversen will sit out the next two King’s Lynn meetings in a bid to restore himself to full fitness.
The Tru Plant Stars fans’ favourite needs treatment on the troublesome shoulder which caused him to miss a chunk of last season but he is set to return on June 13.
It also means he will miss the Monster Energy FIM Speedway of Nations with Denmark as he aims to regain strength for the hectic weeks ahead.
King’s Lynn boss Dale Allitt said: “Niels and I have had a long chat about this and we agree this is the best course of action.
“He was in great form at Belle Vue for us on Monday, but the treatment is something he really needs to have with such a demanding season ahead.
“The timescale is such that he will only miss next week’s meetings for us but will be back for our trip to Poole on June 13.
“We look forward to seeing Niels back fitter and stronger and this lay-off can only be beneficial for both Niels and King’s Lynn Speedway with a view to the long term.”
King’s Lynn Speedway would like to congratulate our skipper Robert Lambert on his call-up to the Great Britain team for the Speedway of Nations.
Lambert is the Under-21 rider within the side along with double World Champion Tai Woffinden and British Champion Craig Cook.
