King's Lynn Town end four-game losing streak by beating Woking

Jamar Loza returned to haunt his former club on Halloween as King's Lynn Town ended a four-game losing streak in the National League.

Loza climbed off the bench to net twice in the final six minutes as Ian Culverhouse's side came from behind to collect their first three points since the opening week of the campaign.

The Linnets made two changes with Rory McAuley and Cameron King coming into the starting XI at the expense of Chris Smith and Ryan Jarvis.

Woking edged the early exchanges and in the 12th minute Josh Casey won a free-kick in a wide position for the Cards but Lynn's Ross Barrows did well to head the resulting danger clear.

Three minutes later Saul Shootton got in behind the Lynn defence but saw his effort brilliantly blocked by Jordan Richards just inside the box.

Lynn began to settle into their passing game and force the visitors into one or two errors at the back.

Midway through the half, Matt Jarvis' centre was palmed away by Archie Mair into the path of Charlie Cooper whose shot flew over the woodwork.

The hosts got their noses in front only for the second time this season - the last time being their late winner at Maidenhead United - when Marriott volleyed home Michael Clunan's corner from ten yards out.

Lynn almost doubled their advantage nine minutes later after Marriott's free-kick took a deflection and was pushed behind for a corner by Craig Ross.

The Cards were back on level terms five minutes before the interval.

Lynn goalkeeper Archie Mair made the wrong decision to come for Jarvis' cross and Kane Ferdinand headed into an empty net.

On the stroke of half-time, Lynn failed to cut out a Tyler Reid centre and Josh Davison climbed to head the visitors in front.

Five minutes after the restart an excellent move involving Sonny Carey and Cameron King saw Marriott poke the ball an inch wide for the hosts.

The visitors broke straight up the other end and Jarvis picked out Max Kretzschmar in the box, but Mair atoned for his earlier error with a fine save at point-blank range.

Both Jamar Lozar and Simon Power were introduced into the action as the Linnets looked for a different approach in the final quarter of the game.

And, after Carey had tested the fingertips of Ross, it was some trickery from Loza which provided Lynn with the equaliser.

Loza, with three players in front of him, twisted and turned before rifling a low shot past Ross with his left foot.

The former Cards favourite repeated the trick four minutes later as he smashed a shot through a crowd of bodies and into the same corner of the net.
