King’s Lynn Town end season with defeat, but win for Fakenham Town, while Downham Town draw and Heacham and Swaffham Town also beaten

King’s Lynn Town’s season ended in disappointing style with a 3-0 defeat at Spennymoor Town this afternoon.

After securing their National League North safety last Saturday it was a poor end to a poor season for Adam Lakeland’s men.

Rob Ramshaw gave the home team a seventh minute lead, Glen Taylor made it 2-0 on the hour and Will Harris wrapped up the scoring in the 90th minute.

In the Eastern Counties Premier Division, Downham Town drew their final league game of the season 1-1 at Long Melford, both goals coming in the first half.

Fakenham Town finished off their season with three points, beating Woodbridge Town 2-1 at home, Jayden Wright opening the scoring after just two minutes and Jay Myhill making it 2-0 in the 16th minute, before the visitors pulled one back.

Heacham finished off their first Step 5 season at high-flying Thetford Town with a disappointing 6-0 defeat.

Swaffham Town lost 3-1 at home to Holland in Eastern Counties First Division North, Kieran Bruce their scorer.

The Pedlars are now a point adrift in the relegation area with games to come at home to title-challenging Great Yarmouth on Tuesday and away at fellow strugglers Whitton United next Saturday.
