King's Lynn golfers book trip to Spain in the Annodata Matchplay Tournament

A team of golfers from King's Lynn Golf Club are off to Spain next year as they chase glory in the Annodata Matchplay Tournament.

A thrilling win over Muswell Hill in the last eight at the weekend saw the men's team from Lynn book their place at Barcelo Montecastillo Golf Resort – a former host of the Volvo Masters.

The Lynn team, who have won seven rounds to get to this stage, triumphed 3-2 in a nip-and-tuck quarter-final clash which went down to the last hole on their home patch at Castle Rising.

Players in the squad are: Mason Bernstein, Mark Jennings, Mark Butt (team captain)Jason Wysoczanski, Matthew Bowman, Andy Hudson and David Jarvis.

More than 400 golf clubs across the country entered the Annodata Matchplay event and Lynn, who defeated Sheringham in the previous round, will contest the final two stages in Spain between March 6 and 10 next year.
