After months of heavy preparation, 27 students from the Mark Farnham Schools of Tae Kwon-Do took part in the tournament at the National Indoor Arena, Birmingham.

Pattern, sparring, destruction, power test pad and team sparring disciplines were contested and a number of Lynn students tasted success.

These were: Gvidas Norvilas boys red belt patterns first, Charlotte Lake girls green belt sparring first, Carl Grimes men's black belt destruction first and mens black belt power pad hand third, Oliver Wright boys black belt sparring second, Kasey Grimes girls red belt power pad hand second and girls red belt power pad foot second

Gvidas Norvilas boys red belt sparring third, Ilya Celinskis boys red belt sparring third, Arturs Danilovs boys red belt patterns third.

Andrew Mason (Long Sutton) has unbelievably won the men’s world title despite being 56 years old, in a division which has competitors from 18 years plus – a truly remarkable performance.
