King’s Lynn youngsters clinch title with three successive wins in final tournament at Burwell




Rink hockey youngsters from Lynn clinched the league title at the weekend by picking up three wins from as many games in their final domestic tournament of the season.

Against third-placed ECU, Harlee Oltai (2) and Jenson Barrs were on target in a 3-1 win.

The club's under-13 side made no mistake in their second match, with Keith Monk, Rupert Oselton, Barrs and Oltai all among the goals in a 6-1 success over an improving Bedford side.

The final game against second-placed Soham Dark Blues saw Lynn trail 1-0 at the interval.

But they came out of the blocks flying in the second period with Barrs scoring twice and Oltai adding a third in a 3-1 victory.

Captain James Smith, Joshua Rawlinson and Rupert Oselton defended astutely in front of the ever-present Isla Procter as the team sealed the title.
