Middleton Hall ladies score highly at captain's day




Ladies from Middleton Hall Golf Club scored highly at Chris Woolley’s captain’s day.

Four ladies finished with 40 stableford points and four finished with 39 points. On countback, the winner was Jo Ballard ahead of Kirsten Kerry, Vanessa Heighton, Lucy Partridge and Joan Gill.

Nearest the pin prizes went to Kerry, Jenny Brown and Lucy Partridge.

Oliver Cullen won the men’s event with 38 points and Jim O’Donnell was second with 36. Cullen and Paul Rushbrook won nearest the pin.

Raffle proceeds went to the Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Meanwhile, Debbie Hemeter claimed the Playle Shield for using the lowest number of putts in a round (30) with Carol Field runner-up with 31 points.

The medal competition was won by Mary Hawkes with net 69 and Elaine Calvert was second with a net 72.
